"The Rooster and The Pearl" by Morgan C. Leshinsky

The Rooster and The Pearl by Morgan C. Leshinsky
The Rooster and the Pearl is the second in the series of whimsical animal giclée prints from artist Morgan C. Leshinsky for the "Feng Shui Menagerie Collection" at www.FengShuiForRealLife.com. The whimsical animal prints in the series are specifically designed to work as Feng Shui cures for bagua areas in your home. The animal themes are modeled on the traditional Chinese zodiac, but with a fresh simplicity that is both contemporary and original.

Feng Shui Cure for the Workplace: “The Rooster and the Pearl" is an excellent cure for an office or workplace because roosters represent career advancement in Feng Shui since they get up so early. Additionally, images of roosters deflect negative talk and gossip.

Artist Statement: "My inspiration comes from beloved fairy tales, fables, and myths that have charmed readers for ages. A painting that can be connected with meaning and symbolism has the potential to become a touching composition. Animals are always a favorite to paint because they are linked with certain traits that can change our mood. For example, birds can be seen as symbols for reaching higher goals and testing the limits and spreading your wings, a cat can symbolize the comfort of home, the mystery of the unknown, or grace and agility, and fish can be considered symbols of wealth, as they are in Feng Shui. Once I’ve found my inspiration in a creature I look into how I want my audience to feel when they are looking at the finished product. Overall, my paintings maintain a friendly and welcoming ambiance, while their flourishing colors and straight-forward subjects radiate positive energy in imagery and composition."

More about the Rooster from Aesop's Fables:
On one sunny summer day, a rooster could be found scratching in the dirt in search of something to eat. As he was busy digging, he happened to turn up a beautiful pearl. The rooster inspected the pretty pearl, and presumed that this sparkling object may be of some great value to someone who could appreciate it, but he himself could not find any real value in it. Casting the pearl aside he said, “You are a very pretty looking thing indeed, but a single, tasty kernel of corn would be lovelier in my eyes than any jewel. The moral: "Precious things are for those that can prize them."

About Giclée Prints: A giclée is produced from a digital image of the original artwork. Giclée reproductions are created using special archival ink sprayed precisely on archival paper to create a print with vivid color that will last up to 200 years with proper care. The ink is sprayed at such a high-resolution that most prints are virtually indistinguishable from their original counterparts.
